Welcome to The Toast, your new go-to weekly newsletter for all things wedding. Each week, we'll dive into the latest trends, share tips, and bring you a variety of stories to inspire you from your engagement to your big day.
I’m Michelle, founder and editor of The Toast. Last December, I celebrated my own wedding in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where my husband is originally from. On the morning of our wedding, a wild storm hit, and we actually had to move our ceremony indoors (cue the tears 😭)
Thankfully, our incredible wedding planners had a Plan B that was so beautiful, it might just have been better than Plan A (or so I like to tell myself!). It ended up being the best day of our lives—filled with a lot of love, amazing food and some seriously wild partying 😆. Curious about what an Argentinian wedding looks like? Take a peek at our special day below. Enjoy! 👇
✨ Former Bachelor star Nick Viall and Natalie Joy tied the knot at her family farm in Georgia. The highlight for us? Their country chic welcome party. But for critics, it was Natalie's daring low-cut dress that stole the spotlight. Their opinions were many, but Natalie’s response? Simply perfect 👌
👰 Think a wedding under $10,000 sounds impossible? Think again. Dive into the story of one bride who managed to keep her dream day within a max budget of $10K!
👀 This viral Reddit post caught our attention: A mother-in-law wore white to the wedding and wouldn't let the couple take photos alone. The bride responded by photoshopping her out of the pictures 😂, leading her husband to call her dramatic. What do you guys think?
💎 By now, you've probably heard that Alex Cooper from Call Her Daddy and Matt Kaplan tied the knot in a laid-back wedding in Mexico. But did you know they ditched the usual pre-wedding hustle? Instead, they spent their morning unwinding together—enjoying breakfast on their terrace and lounging in bed until noon. Not a bad way to kick off the morning of your wedding!

This week we're eyeing the drop-waist wedding gown, a style that's seriously having a moment. Designers are all about this look because they say it elongates the silhouette. I'm on the fence about that claim, but what do you think about this hot style trend?
What’s the Hype?
Elongating Effect? It's said to add inches to your torso visually. Whether it works, you be the judge!
Style Flexibility: Whether you go for a structured corset or something flowy and peplum-inspired, the drop-waist is showing up in all sorts of chic forms.
A few designs we're eyeing:

“I regret this”
"Looking back, I regret not being more specific about the wedding photos I wanted. There weren’t enough pictures with my family and friends which I'm pretty bummed about now. I wish I had spent more time gathering photo inspiration and communicating with my photographer about the must-have shots."
“I regret not planning my second outfit more carefully. It was a last-minute choice because I really couldn't find a dress I liked in my price range. I wasn't thrilled with the overall look or the shoes I hurriedly paired with it. My main dress broke early in the reception, and I had to switch outfits sooner than expected. The second look was comfortable and I'm happy I had one, but I wish it had felt as special as my first look.”
“I'm so glad I did this”
"I am so happy we invested in an amazing catering and bar service. The food and drinks were exceptional, and our guests couldn't stop raving about them!
“I'm incredibly thankful for our wedding planners, especially considering the massive storm that hit the night before our wedding. They flawlessly executed Plan B, ensuring everything went so smoothly it felt like it was the original plan.”
“Using our app, Guestlist, was a game changer. It streamlined communication with our guests, giving us one central place to post updates and a platform for everyone to connect and share their photos. It kept us all connected and added an extra layer of engagement to our wedding.
In this section we'll be sharing tips straight from the pros! Wedding planners, photographers, florists, decorators, caterers, venues, etc. We want to hear from you!
